Up to date, accurate information is essential to us all. It enables us to make informed decisions about our lives, our choice of treatment should we become ill and the options available to us and our carers.

In 2001, Scarborough Mind and Scarborough Survivors, with funding from mental health services, employed three part time staff, each with their own mental health difficulties, to produce a Guide for people with mental health needs. This resulted in:

An Information Guide for people with mental health needs in Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale.
This comprehensive Guide includes information about a range of issues affecting people with mental health difficulties, from diet to discrimination; training opportunities to treatment and problem solving to the patients charter.

The Guide is also available in booklet or CD format and can be ordered from Scarborough Survivors or Scarborough, Whitby & Ryedale Mind.
